In a well written paragraph, tell me which character from the Outsiders you would like to be your friend. Use the BOOK with page numbers and paragraph numbers.
week 1 respose 1 As a friend I would chose ponyboy because on page fortey paragraph 3 it said that he cried whe the houre died so it shows he has emotion and fealing. Also on page 23 paragraph 3 it said that he was smart and nice to wich are good traights to have. I agree those are good traits! ~Mrs. Best Jack W.~ That's the same person I chose. A agree with you, he does sound smart and nice. Ponyboy is emotional. Didn't have time to finish. Great response!!!
week1 respose 2 We all know that the fifth commandment is: Thou shall not kill. With that in mind, tell me what you would be feeling AND what you would do now if you were Johnny at the end of Chapter 4.
If i was joney i would be a nerves beak down. I would be reely sad for what i did. I know i would be sad but at least i would have saved my friend. I know i would have killed somebody but at least i wasn't breakig the fifth comandment. i would still pray to God for forgivness. That is what i would have been feeling if i was joey. But what would DO? Yes, you would be sad, but compared with what he chose to do, what you have chosen to do??? ~Mrs. Best Mic~ Hi Connor this is Mic. I think that you are totally right. I think that you are right because I don't think that I would have just sat there either, I think that I would have done something to stop them, also I think that I would have killed someone to save a good friend and the ask for Gods forgiveness every day. I would have only killed the person though if I had to and only if I knew that the person was bad. Under those circumstances, God would understand! ~Mrs. Best
A. On Pg. 92 it says: Johnny wasn't behaving at all like his old self...That was the first time I saw him without that defeated suspicious look. Explain what the author is inferring.
what i think the author is infering that some sort of change will be coming. the changewill be with Jhonny some time in the future . it seamed that he was actualy serasus for once in the book .at this time cared about everybody more than him self.i really think if jony recoveres that he will be a changed person. this is what i think the author was trying to portray by that paragraph. I agree! This was a great response, Connor! That is what the author was saying. ~Mrs. Best
Mic~Hi Connor this is Mic. I agree with your response because I also think that if Johnny gets out of the hospital and even if hes not in a wheel chair or is physically disabled for his whole life, that he would change and be different. I think that he would care more for other people and be there more often to help people in need.
Billy- Hey Connor I agree with your responses, and what Mic said. I think one thing you can work on is your SPELLING. Other wise nice response.
B. Explain what Two-Bit means when he says: "The only thing that keeps Darry from being a Soc is us."
he means that if we wernt his brother he has the brains to be a socs and a big shot.he also meas that his brothers are holding him back a little bit but can help it. they are trying to let him be all that he can be but he cant because they arnt as smart as he is. but they try as head as they can. that is what they mean. I don't know what you are trying to tell me in the second paragraph here. ~Mrs. Best
